Labtekwon (born Omar Akbar) is a talented Hip Hop artist. His stage name, Labtekwon, is a cool acronym that stands for "Lifeform Advanced Beyond Terrestrial Esoterics King Warrior Of Nubia." He is known for his unique style in hip hop music.
Labtekwon's Music Journey
Labtekwon is a rapper, also known as an emcee, from Baltimore, Maryland. He is the son of the famous soul musician Doc Soul Stirrer. Labtekwon became very well-known in the underground music scene around the world. He released many albums in his Labteknology series from 1994 to 2000.
In 1999, he was invited to Los Angeles to perform with a group called Project Blowed. From 1998 to 2003, the Baltimore City Paper often named Labtekwon the "Best MC." He was a regular on their "Best of Baltimore" list. He also performed at the Lyricist Lounge in New York and won the Zulu Nation Freestyle Competition in 1995.
Labtekwon has shared the stage with many legendary artists. These include Afrika Bambaata, Rakim, Kool Keith, MF DOOM, A Tribe Called Quest, and KRS-One. He also worked with his group, the 410 Pharaohs, on 410 Funk. This was one of the first albums to mix Baltimore Club Music with Hip Hop.

Labtekwon's Personal Life
Labtekwon is the youngest son of the soul singer Harry Young, Jr., who is also known as "Doc Soul Stirrer." Labtekwon graduated from Douglass High School in Baltimore. He also has several college degrees. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, a master's degree from Morgan State University, and a doctorate degree from Howard University.
