Labtekwon is an amazing emcee, which is another word for a rapper, from Baltimore, Maryland. His father, Doc Soul Stirrer, was also a musician. Labtekwon became well-known in the underground music scene around the world. He released many albums in his Labteknology series from 1994 to 2000.
Early Performances and Recognition
In 1999, Labtekwon was invited to Los Angeles to perform with the Project Blowed group. This was a big step in his career. From 1998 to 2003, the Baltimore City Paper often named him the "Best MC." He was a regular on their "Best of Baltimore" list.
Labtekwon also performed at the Lyricist Lounge in New York. In 1995, he won the Zulu Nation Freestyle Competition. He has shared the stage with many famous artists. These include Afrika Bambaata, Rakim, Kool Keith, MF DOOM, and A Tribe Called Quest. He also performed with his group, the 410 Pharaohs. They created a special album called 410 Funk, which mixed Baltimore Club Music with Hip Hop.

About Labtekwon's Life
Labtekwon is the youngest son of soul singer Harry Young, Jr., also known as "Doc Soul Stirrer." He went to Douglass High School in Baltimore.
He also has a strong educational background. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Later, he received a master's degree from Morgan State University. He also holds a doctorate degree from Howard University.
