Lahore (pronounced like "lə-HOR") is a small, unincorporated community. It is located in Orange County, Virginia, in the United States. This community was named after the famous historical city of Lahore, Pakistan.

Plans for Lahore, Virginia
In 2007, a man named Noor Naghmi became interested in Lahore, Virginia. He is the son of a Pakistani broadcaster. Noor Naghmi works in financial services. He wanted to buy a large piece of land in Lahore, Virginia.
A Big Idea for the Community
Noor Naghmi talked to the Washington Post newspaper in 2007. He shared his big plans for Lahore, Virginia. He hoped to turn it into a fun place for tourists. He especially wanted to attract visitors from South Asia.
His ideas included building a large banquet hall. This hall would look like the famous Shalimar Gardens in Lahore, Pakistan. He also imagined a library and a museum. These places would teach about the history of both Lahores.
Naghmi also wanted to open a bed-and-breakfast. Guests could enjoy traditional chickpea curry along with eggs and toast. He even hoped to organize a big festival called Basant in American Lahore. This festival is known for its colorful celebrations.
Current Status of the Land
Noor Naghmi had a deal for 3 million dollars to buy 235 acres (about 0.95 square kilometers) of land. This land included the center of the town. However, as of 2021, the property had not been sold to Noor or anyone else. The original owner passed away, and the estate has not yet been settled.
