What's Around the Lake?
On the eastern side of Lake Effie, you can find the Florida's Natural Growers Visitor's Center. This center is also known as the Grove House. Florida's Natural Growers is a company that processes citrus fruits. Their large processing plant is located just east of the Grove House, across US 27.
Activities at Lake Effie
While Lake Effie is a beautiful natural spot, it does not have public areas for swimming or boating. This means you cannot go for a swim or launch a boat directly from its shores.
However, there are parts of the lake's shore that are open to the public for fishing. If you enjoy fishing, Lake Effie is a place where you can cast your line. According to the Hook and Bullet website, some of the fish you might find here include bullhead, blue catfish, and bowfin.
