Lake Elizabeth and the park around it, called Central Park, were named after Fremont's sister city, Elizabeth, South Australia. Many people visit Central Park and Lake Elizabeth every day. The lake is a great place for boating and other fun water activities.

The park is also home to many different kinds of birds. You can see American coots, mallards, and gulls. Some special birds live near the small forest on the north side of the park. Others live on a small island in the middle of the lake, often called Duck Island. People cannot reach this island from the land.

Many visitors enjoy riding their bikes or jogging around the lake. Families often come to the park for its two playgrounds. There are also three other playgrounds nearby that you can reach by walking paths. The Aqua Adventure water park is also located in Central Park, right on the south side of Lake Elizabeth.

About the Lake's Water

Lake Elizabeth has one island called Duck Island. This island is located in the eastern part of the lake. A stream called Mission Creek flows into Lake Elizabeth on its southern side.
