Exploring Lake Lulu's Surroundings

Lake Lulu is part of a larger area known as the Chain of Lakes Complex. This complex includes a special place called Chain of Lakes Park.

Chain of Lakes Park: A Sports Hub

The Chain of Lakes Park is on the northwest side of Lake Lulu. This park is famous for its baseball fields. One particular baseball stadium was built in 1966. It was first used as a spring training facility for the Boston Red Sox baseball team.

The stadium was updated in 1993. After that, the Cleveland Indians baseball team used it for their spring training until 2009. This stadium is about 225 feet (68.6 meters) from Lake Lulu's shore. It is no longer used for professional spring training today.

Accessing Lake Lulu

You can reach Lake Lulu from a few spots. One easy way is from the eastern point, near West Lake Eloise Drive. Another access point is along the Chain of Lakes Complex on the northwest side.

Boating and Fishing Opportunities

While there are no public boat ramps or swimming areas directly on Lake Lulu, you can still enjoy the water. Lake Lulu is connected to the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes. This means you can reach it by boat from many other lakes through canals.

Lake Lulu is directly linked by canals to Lake Shipp to the west. It also connects to Lake Eloise and Lake Roy to the east. If you enjoy fishing, the lake is known to have several types of fish. These include largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie.
