Lake Peipus facts for kids

Lake Peipus is a very large freshwater lake located in Northern Europe. It sits right on the border between two countries: Estonia and Russia. This amazing lake is the fourth biggest in all of Europe!
Lake Peipus covers a huge area of about 3,500 square kilometres. Imagine a lake so big! Even though it's very wide, it's not super deep. Its average depth is around 7 meters, but in some spots, it can go down to 15 meters. People use Lake Peipus for fun activities like fishing and other kinds of recreation.
