Lakeside Memorial Golf Course is a fun place to play golf in Stillwater, Oklahoma. It first opened in 1945. A famous golf coach named Labron Harris designed it. For almost 50 years, it was the home course for the Oklahoma State University Men's Golf Team. This team won 10 national championships! In 1994, the team moved to a new course called Karsten Creek Golf Club. Today, the City of Stillwater owns and runs Lakeside.

Labron Harris was not only the designer but also the Head Golf Professional until 1974. Many amazing golfers have trained at Lakeside. These include players who went on to join the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour. The golf shop at Lakeside has even displayed some of the world's most important golf trophies! These include the U.S. Amateur and the British Amateur trophies.

In 1998, a new architect named Tripp Davis updated the course. Lakeside is now over 6,756 yards long. It has special grass types like bentgrass on the putting greens and bermuda grass on the fairways. The course winds through beautiful oak trees on gentle hills. Golf Digest magazine often calls Lakeside one of the best public golf courses in Oklahoma. Lakeside has also won awards for helping young players learn golf. It received the South Central PGA Youth Player Development Awards in 2011, 2012, and 2014.
