Lakeview is a small, quiet community in Beaverhead County, Montana, United States. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the county.

Lakeview is located along the Southside Centennial Road. It sits about halfway between two other places: Lima to the west and West Yellowstone to the east. This area is part of the beautiful Centennial Valley.

The community has had a few different names over the years. It was first called Shambow, named after George H. Shambow, who was one of the first people to live there and also its first postmaster. Later, it was renamed Magdalen. Finally, in the late 1890s, it became known as Lakeview.

A special place called Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge is very close to Lakeview. This refuge is a protected area for wildlife.
