Lima (pronounced LY-mə) is a small town located in Beaverhead County, Montana, in the United States. In 2020, about 212 people lived there.

About Lima, Montana
The town of Lima got its name from Lima, Ohio. An early settler who moved to Montana was originally from Lima, Ohio.
The first post office in Lima opened in 1881. It was run by L. Eugene Simmons. The town was first called Allerdice, then Spring Hill, before finally becoming Lima in 1889.
Lima's Location and Landscape
Lima is located at 44.635813 degrees North and -112.592058 degrees West. You can find Lima right off Exit 15 on Interstate 15.
The Red Rock River flows very close to the town. Lima covers an area of about 0.53 square miles (1.42 square kilometers), and all of it is land.

A small number of residents were African American, Native American, or Pacific Islander. Some people were also from other backgrounds or mixed races. About 3.6% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino.
Many households (49.1%) were married couples. About 23.6% of households had children under 18 living with them. The average age in Lima was about 51.8 years old.
Education in Lima
The Lima School District provides education for students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. The school's mascot is the Bears. Lima High School is known as a Class C school. This means it has fewer than 108 students, which helps decide how they compete in sports.
