Lakeview Estates, also known as Sunrise Lakes, is a special community in Rockdale County, Georgia, United States. It is called a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's an area identified for statistics but not a formally organized city. In 2020, about 2,660 people lived there.
Lakeview Estates was created in the 1970s as a family-friendly area. It features homes built around Lake Sunrise and Lake Rockaway. The community also had a clubhouse, a store, and a church. Unlike a typical trailer park, much of the land here is privately owned. The roads are managed by Rockdale County.
The community faced some challenges in the early 1980s. A private company owned the water supply, which caused problems for residents.

Community Efforts and Improvements
In the 1980s and 1990s, a group called the Community Action Committee worked to improve Lakeview Estates. This committee was led by Ed Conway, a long-time resident. They got help from local churches and other people in Rockdale County.
The committee worked hard to make sure residents had fair access to water. Eventually, the water system was brought under the control of Rockdale County.
The Community Action Committee also helped set up a free health clinic in Lakeview Estates. They also helped bring in a police presence to keep the community safe. A local church, Saint Pius X Catholic Church, helped the growing Mexican-American population in the area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, this community covers about 0.6 square miles (1.6 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 0.5 square miles (1.3 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometers), is water.
