Lane McCray (born April 13, 1962) is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter. He is most famous for being the male voice of the popular Eurodance group La Bouche. The group had huge hits in the 1990s with songs like "Sweet Dreams" and "Be My Lover."

Early Life and Career Beginnings
Lane McCray was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Before becoming a music star, he served in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in different places around the world.
Even during his time in the military, Lane loved to perform. He acted and sang in several famous musicals, including West Side Story and A Chorus Line. This experience helped him become a great all-around entertainer.
The Story of La Bouche
Forming the Group
After leaving the Air Force, Lane decided to follow his dream of a full-time music career. He moved to Saarbrücken, Germany. There, he met a talented singer named Melanie Thornton. They performed together in a band called Groovin' Affairs.
Their chemistry was so good that they decided to form their own group, which they named La Bouche. "La Bouche" is French for "The Mouth."
Global Success
La Bouche became a worldwide sensation in the mid-1990s. Their mix of high-energy dance beats and powerful vocals was a perfect example of the Eurodance music style. Their songs were played on the radio and in clubs everywhere.
