Lantejuela is a small town in Spain. It is located in the province of Seville. In 2018, about 3,834 people lived there.
Lantejuela is about 26 kilometers (16 miles) from Écija. It is also about 86 kilometers (53 miles) from the city of Seville. Historians believe that a very old battle, called the Battle of Munda, might have happened near Lantejuela.
The Name of Lantejuela
For a long time, until 1860, the town was known as Lentejuela. Later, on February 4, 2014, its official name was changed. It went from being called La Lantejuela to simply Lantejuela.
