Larry Richard Drake (born February 21, 1949 – died March 17, 2016) was an American actor and comedian. He was famous for playing Benny Stulwicz in the TV show L.A. Law. For this role, he won two special awards called Primetime Emmy Awards.
Larry Drake also played Robert G. Durant in the movies Darkman and Darkman II: The Return of Durant. He was the scary Dr. Giggles in the movie Dr. Giggles. Kids might also know his voice as Pops from the cartoon Johnny Bravo.

Early Life and Education
Larry Richard Drake was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on February 21, 1949. His father, Raymond John Drake, was an engineer for an oil company. His mother, Lorraine Ruth Burns, was a homemaker.
Larry went to Tulsa Edison High School. After that, he studied at the University of Oklahoma.
His Acting Career
Larry Drake is best known for his role as Benny Stulwicz in the TV series L.A. Law. He played Benny from 1987 until the show ended in 1994. Benny was a character with a learning disability who worked at a law firm.
Larry won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series twice for playing Benny. He won in 1988 and again in 1989. He even came back to play Benny in a special TV movie called L.A. Law: The Movie in 2002.
He appeared in many other movies and TV shows. Some of his film roles include Bean, American Pie 2, and Dark Night of the Scarecrow. He also voiced Pops in the popular cartoon Johnny Bravo. In 2007, he was in a science fiction movie called Gryphon.
Personal Life
Larry Drake was married to actress and producer Ruth de Sosa. They were married from 1989 to 1991. Ruth de Sosa is known for her roles in shows like The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
Later Years
Larry Drake passed away on March 17, 2016, at his home in Los Angeles. He was 67 years old. His manager said that Larry had been dealing with some health problems before he died.
