Las Guáranas is a lively town in the Duarte Province of the Dominican Republic. It's a place where about 20,000 people live and work. This town is very important for growing rice, which is a big part of its economy.

Where is Las Guáranas?
Las Guáranas is located between two other towns: Cotuí and San Francisco de Macorís. It's about 12 kilometers (around 7.5 miles) away from San Francisco de Macorís. The capital city, Santo Domingo, is further away, about 120 kilometers (around 75 miles) from Las Guáranas.
What's Life Like Here?
Life in Las Guáranas is closely connected to farming, especially rice. The area around the town is a major rice-growing region in the Dominican Republic. This means that many jobs and businesses in Las Guáranas are related to planting, harvesting, and selling rice.
The town also celebrates its patron saint, Nuestra Señora del Carmen (Our Lady of Carmen). A special festival is held every year from July 7th to July 16th. It's a time for fun, traditions, and community gatherings.
