Laura Morante was born in Santa Fiora, a town in Tuscany, Italy. She started her career as a dancer. At 18, she began acting on stage with a theater group.
Starting Her Acting Journey
Laura made her first movie appearance in Oggetti smarriti (Lost Belongings). This film was directed by Giuseppe Bertolucci. Soon after, she appeared in Tragedy of a Ridiculous Man. She became widely known thanks to director Nanni Moretti. He cast her in the main role in his film Sweet Body of Bianca. This movie helped her become a recognized star.
