Laura Beatrice White (born May 28, 1995) is an English life coach and former actress. She is known for playing the villain Princess Buchanan in the BBC television show Doctors. She also acted in many popular stage plays.
In 2025, Laura decided to retire from acting. She now focuses on her work as a life coach, where she helps people achieve their goals.

Early Life and Education
Laura White was born in Northampton, England. Her mother is Jamaican and her father is English. She has two sisters, including one named Cat. Growing up, she spent time in Wales and Yorkshire, where her family came from.
From 2014 to 2017, Laura studied musical theatre at the famous Guildford School of Acting. This school helped her prepare for a career in performance.
Acting Career
Starting Out
After finishing school, Laura began her career by acting in short films and TV commercials. She also started a group called the Page One Project. This project helps give advice and support to people from different backgrounds who want to work in the arts.
Besides acting, Laura is also a trained life coach. A life coach is someone who helps people make progress in their lives and reach their goals.
Success on Stage and Screen
Laura became well-known for her role as Sandra Wilkinson in the UK tour of the play The Play That Goes Wrong. She toured with the show from 2020 to 2021. In 2020, she also starred in a unique outdoor play in London called C-o-n-t-a-c-t. Critics praised her performance.
In 2021, Laura appeared in the movie The Colour Room, which tells the story of artist Clarice Cliff. She also acted in the Channel 4 comedy pilot Big Age and the play Home Girl at the Derby Theatre.
Playing a Villain in 'Doctors'
In 2022, Laura joined the cast of the BBC soap opera Doctors. A soap opera is a TV drama series about the lives of different characters. She played Princess Buchanan, a trainee doctor who caused a lot of trouble.
Her role as the villain was very popular. She was nominated twice for the British Soap Award for Villain of the Year, once in 2022 and again in 2023. She left the show in January 2023.
Later Roles and Retirement
After Doctors, Laura continued to act. In 2023, she appeared in the crime drama series Silent Witness. From 2023 to 2024, she starred in the touring play Murder in the Dark.
In 2025, Laura announced that she was retiring from acting. She decided to focus on her other ventures, including her work as a life coach.
