Lauren Susan Green (born June 30, 1958) is a well-known American journalist. She works as the Chief Religion Correspondent for Fox News. Before this, she was a headline anchor, giving news updates on the morning show Fox & Friends. She was also the first African-American woman to win the Miss Minnesota pageant.

Early Life and Pageant Success
Lauren Green was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her parents are Robert and Bessie Grissam Green. She has two sisters, Barbara and Lois, and two brothers, Leslie and Kenneth.
When she was in sixth grade, the famous musician Prince called her to say he liked her! She later appeared in his 1992 music video for the song "My Name Is Prince". In the video, she played a news anchor, using her own name.
In 1984, Lauren won the Miss Minnesota pageant. The next year, she placed third runner-up in the Miss America 1985 pageant.
Education and Faith
Lauren Green studied piano performance at the University of Minnesota, earning her degree in 1980. She then went to graduate school at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
She is a Christian and grew up in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
