Modeling Career

Early Work and Education

Lauren began her modeling career by signing with several agencies in Johannesburg, London, and Hamburg, Germany. Her first big job was the cover of Top Billing Magazine in April 2005.

In 2007, she worked on a campaign for the brand John Lewis. This got a lot of attention because the company announced they would only use models who were a healthy size. That same year, she was on the cover of Essentials Magazine.

Even with this early success, Lauren focused on her education. She earned a degree in psychology from the University of Cape Town. After graduating, she moved to Germany to continue her modeling career.

Building an International Career

In 2008, Lauren's career grew as she worked for international brands like Freya Swimwear and Agent Provocateur. The next year, she was in ads for the Renault Grand Scenic car.

By 2010, she had appeared on the covers of several magazines, including Mother & Baby and Stuff Magazine UK. She also worked with major brands like Samsung and Daniel Hechter Paris. Her client list grew to include well-known names like Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan.

After living in Germany, Lauren moved to London. There, she became a popular model for online clothing stores. She often appeared on websites for Debenhams, Next.co.uk, and Marks & Spencer. In 2011, she was on the covers of many magazines again and worked on campaigns for La Senza and The Body Shop.

Success in the United States

In 2012, Lauren continued to model for major British retailers. She also started working with more fashion magazines like Grazia in the United Kingdom. Her career expanded to other parts of Europe when she signed with agencies in Milan and Paris.

A major moment came in November 2012 when she appeared in the South African Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. This led to her signing with Wilhelmina Models, a major agency in the United States.

In 2013, Lauren moved to New York City to focus on her career in America. She worked for many famous brands, including Triumph, Bloomingdales, Avon, and Schwarzkopf. In February 2014, Sports Illustrated announced that Lauren would be featured as a "rookie" model in their famous American swimsuit issue.
