Lazaro "Laz" Alonso (born March 25, 1974) is an American actor famous for his roles in major movies and television shows. You might know him as the Na'vi warrior Tsu'tey in the science fiction movie Avatar or as the villain Fenix Calderon in Fast & Furious.
Since 2019, Alonso has been a star on the popular TV series The Boys. He plays the character Marvin T. Milk, who is better known by his nickname "Mother's Milk" or "MM". He has also appeared in other films like Jarhead, This Christmas, and Detroit.

Early Life and Education
Laz Alonso was born and raised in Washington, D.C.. His parents were immigrants from Cuba. Growing up, he learned to speak both English and Spanish fluently.
For college, Alonso attended the famous Howard University, also in Washington, D.C. He studied business and earned a degree in marketing. Before he became an actor, he had a very different job. He worked as an investment banker on Wall Street for a large company called Merrill Lynch.
Acting Career
Alonso's journey into entertainment began when he hosted TV shows like A.M. @BET. He also appeared in music videos for famous singers like Toni Braxton and Aaliyah. This helped him get noticed in the entertainment world.
Big Screen Breakthrough
Alonso started his movie career with smaller parts in films. He appeared in movies like Stomp the Yard, Jarhead, and Miracle at St. Anna.
His career took a big leap in 2009 with two major roles. He played Fenix Calderon, the main bad guy in Fast & Furious. That same year, he played Tsu'tey in James Cameron's blockbuster hit Avatar. As Tsu'tey, he was a proud warrior of the Na'vi people on the planet Pandora.
