Le Rustique is a popular brand of French cheese. It is owned by a company called Compagnie des Fromages et RichesMonts (CF&R). Le Rustique started in 1975 in Normandy, France. Their first cheese was a special type of camembert.
Over time, the brand began to make other soft cheeses. These include brie and coulommiers. Le Rustique cheeses are sold in France and in more than 60 other countries. While they are best known for their camembert and brie, they also sell hard cheese slices and raclette cheese.
