Ledell Eackles was born on November 24, 1966. He is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a shooting guard. Ledell Eackles was chosen by the Washington Bullets in the 1988 NBA draft. He was the 36th player picked overall.
Eackles played for seven seasons in the NBA. He played for the Bullets, Miami Heat, and Washington Wizards. During his career, he scored an average of 10.8 points per game. His best season was in 1989–90. He played in 78 games that year. He averaged 13.5 points per game for the Bullets.

Early Life and College
Ledell Eackles started his basketball journey in high school. He went to Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After high school, he played college basketball.
He first played for San Jacinto College from 1984 to 1986. Then, he moved to the University of New Orleans. He played there from 1986 to 1988. During his time in college, he showed great skill. He was named the American South Player of the Year in 1988. He was also a two-time First-team All-American South player.
Playing in the NBA
In 1988, Ledell Eackles was drafted into the NBA. The Washington Bullets picked him in the second round. He quickly became an important player for the team. He played for the Bullets from 1988 to 1991.
After his first time with the Bullets, he played for the Rapid City Thrillers. This was in 1992 and 1993. He then had a short time with the Miami Heat in 1994. He returned to the Washington team, which became the Washington Wizards, from 1995 to 1997. He finished his professional career with the Richmond Rhythm from 1999 to 2000.
