Early Life and Education
Ledina Mandia was born in Tirana, Albania, on June 3, 1974. She studied law at the University of Shkodër. After finishing her studies, she became a teacher there. She taught law to students full-time.
Later, in 2005, she continued her education. She earned a Master's degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Tirana. A Ph.D. is the highest university degree you can get.
Her Career in Law
From 2007 to 2013, Ledina Mandia worked for the Advocate General's office. This office helps the government with legal matters. From 2010 to 2013, she was the head of this important office.
During her time as the General Advocate, she represented Albania in many legal cases. These cases were often about disagreements between countries or big companies. This process is called "international arbitration." She helped make sure Albania's legal rights were protected.
Becoming Deputy Prime Minister
In May 2017, Ledina Mandia became the Deputy Prime Minister of Albania. This is a very senior role in the government. Before this, she worked for a short time as an adviser to the President of Albania. She helped the President with important decisions and policies.
