One of his biggest adventures was an exploration trip to South America in 1915. He traveled with a friend named Alfred M. Collins. They were joined by people from Yale University and the Field Museum, which is a museum that studies nature and history.

Serving His Country

Lee Garnett Day was also a dedicated Army officer. He served in France during World War I, a major global conflict. Later, he returned to the Army during World War II.

Life and Work

After his first time in the Army, Lee Garnett Day became a vice-president at Baker-Bennett-Day, Inc. This company was part of General Foods, a very large food company. He left this job in 1940 to return to the Army and serve his country again.

Lee Garnett Day's wife, Nancy Sales Day, passed away before him. He was survived by his daughter and six grandchildren.
