Lee Nailon (born February 22, 1975) is an American professional basketball player. He played for six seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Lee Nailon was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Israeli Basketball Premier League in 2007. In 2011, he was the top scorer in that same league. He had a great college basketball career at Texas Christian University, earning All-American honors. In 2022, Lee Nailon became the head basketball coach for Carbondale Community High School in Carbondale, Illinois.

High School Basketball Success
Lee Nailon went to South Bend Clay High School. There, he and a younger player named Jaraan Cornell helped their team, the Colonials, win the 1994 Indiana State Championship title. Together, they scored 46 points in that championship game.
College Basketball Journey
Nailon started his college basketball journey at Southeastern CC in Iowa for one year. After that, he moved to Butler County CC in Kansas for his second year. He finished his college career playing for two years (1997–1999) at Texas Christian University (TCU). At TCU, he was an amazing player, averaging 23.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. He was also named to the first-team All-Conference in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) for both seasons he played there.
Professional Basketball Career
Lee Nailon was chosen by the Charlotte Hornets in the second round of the 1999 NBA draft. He was the 43rd player picked overall. He played for several NBA teams, including the Hornets (both when they were in Charlotte and later in New Orleans), the New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Philadelphia 76ers.
Lee Nailon also played basketball in other countries. He played for teams in Italy, Israel, Russia, Lebanon, and Puerto Rico. In the 2006–07 season, while playing for Bnei HaSharon in Israel, he helped his team reach the Israeli Cup final. They surprised many by beating the champions, Maccabi Tel Aviv, in the semifinal. He was then named the 2007 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP. He returned to Bnei HaSharon in 2010 and was the top scorer in the Israeli Basketball Premier League in 2011. In 2018, Lee Nailon was drafted by the Ghost Ballers team in the BIG3 league, which is a professional 3-on-3 basketball league in the United States.
