Prologue: The Legend Begins
This special introduction sets the scene. Protector Narmoto tells children the story of Okoto. He talks about Ekimu, the Mask Maker, and his brother Makuta, who turned evil. He also explains how the Toa first arrived on Okoto. The Toa had to complete tasks to wake Ekimu and stop Makuta's dark plans. Now, with new armor and weapons from Ekimu, the Toa are ready for their next big adventure.
Episode 1: Quest for Unity
Ekimu tells the Toa about their new mission. The Toa see visions of Elemental Creatures and set out to find them. At first, the Toa and the Creatures fight. But the Toa soon learn they must make peace with the Creatures to succeed. Umarak captures Uxar, an Elemental Creature. He tries to unite with Uxar to find the Mask of Control. Luckily, Lewa saves Uxar and defeats Umarak. The Toa then find special Golden Masks of Unity. They unite with their Creatures, who show them the way to the Labyrinth of Control.
Episode 2: Trials of the Toa
Now united with their Creatures and each other, the Toa head for the Labyrinth of Control. Umarak attacks them along the way. He notices that Pohatu is not working well with Ketar, the Creature of Stone. The Toa defeat Umarak and continue to the Labyrinth. It's on an island off Okoto's coast. They race to the island and enter the maze. Inside, they use their Elemental Creatures to reach the chamber where the Mask of Control is kept. Pohatu hesitates to unite with Ketar. This allows Umarak to attack, force Ketar to unite with him, and steal the Mask of Control. Umarak escapes. Pohatu makes up with Ketar, and the Toa promise to get the Mask back. But Umarak puts on the Mask of Control. This lets Makuta take over his body, turning him into the powerful Umarak the Destroyer.
Episode 3: Destroyer's Game
Umarak the Destroyer unleashes a scary Shadow Horde. He sends them to attack the City of the Mask Makers. The Toa must defend the city. Ekimu gets an upgrade and summons Agil, the Elemental Creature of Light. He sends Agil to find Umarak. Ekimu then calls the Toa to join him in hunting down Umarak. Their Elemental Creatures stay behind to defend the city. Agil brings news: Umarak is collecting pieces of Makuta's Mask of Ultimate Power. These pieces are needed to free Makuta from his prison in the Shadow Realm. As the Toa and Ekimu chase him, Umarak raises a mountain. He plans to open a portal there to free his master.
Episode 4: The Dark Portal
As they follow Umarak, Ekimu explains that the Mask of Ultimate Power was destroyed. Its energy opened the portal that trapped Makuta. They catch up to Agil and find Umarak's mountain, with the portal forming on top. Ekimu shares Makuta's history of jealousy and ambition. They find Umarak and fight him. He summons more Elemental Beasts to slow them down and escapes. Umarak begins the ritual to open Makuta's portal. He traps the Toa when they arrive. But Ekimu and Agil launch a Light attack. Makuta's attack on Gali accidentally helps her discover how to defeat him. The Toa combine their elemental powers to banish Makuta. After this, Makuta destroys Umarak. The Toa are then sent back to the stars from where they came.
