About the Mall
The Lehigh Valley Mall is a major shopping spot in Pennsylvania. It is found north of Allentown. You can reach it from MacArthur Road, between U.S. Route 22 and Grape Street. The mall is home to big department stores. These include Boscov's, JCPenney, and Macy's. It also has a Dave & Buster's for entertainment.
Mall History and Changes
The Lehigh Valley Mall first opened its doors in October 1976. In 2003, a company called Simon Property Group bought the mall. They still manage it today.
The mall has changed over the years. In 1995, it had a big update. A spiral ramp that connected the two floors was removed. In its place, a new glass elevator was added. Old fountains were taken out, and the inside and outside of the mall got a fresh look.
In October 2007, the mall grew even more. A new outdoor area called a "lifestyle center" was added. This part of the mall has stores like Apple, Sephora, and Barnes & Noble.
There is also another outdoor shopping area nearby. It is called the Lehigh Valley Convenience Center. You can find more shops and restaurants there. In 2019, Dave & Buster's announced it would open inside the mall in 2020.
