She was also the Chinese women's national champion in 2017.

Lei Tingjie's Chess Journey

Lei Tingjie started making a name for herself in the chess world quite early. She has shown great skill and determination in many competitions.

Early Wins and Titles

In 2014, Lei won the 4th China Women Masters Tournament. This big win helped her earn the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) from FIDE. FIDE is the international organization that governs chess.

The next year, in 2015, she won the women's event at the Moscow Open. She even finished ahead of Aleksandra Goryachkina, who was the World Junior Girls Champion at the time. Becoming a Grandmaster

In 2016, Lei was part of the Chinese team that won a gold medal. This was at the Asian Nations Cup in Dubai. Her hard work paid off, and in March 2017, she was given the full Grandmaster title. This is the highest title a chess player can achieve.
