The Lemhi Range is a long chain of mountains located in the U.S. state of Idaho. It stretches across the eastern part of the state, nestled between the Lost River Range and the Beaverhead Mountains. The tallest point in this range is Diamond Peak, which stands at an impressive 12,197 feet (about 3,717 meters) high. This makes Diamond Peak the fourth highest mountain in all of Idaho! The Lemhi Range is also part of two large protected areas: the Salmon-Challis National Forest and the Caribou-Targhee National Forest.
