The Lemoine River (in French: rivière Lemoine) is a small river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into another river called the Pot au Beurre River. The Lemoine River mainly flows northwest through two towns: Saint-Louis and Sainte-Victoire. It's located in the Montérégie region, which is south of the St. Lawrence River.

The land around the Lemoine River is mostly used for farming.

Where the Lemoine River Flows

The Lemoine River starts in a farming area in Saint-Louis. Its source is where a stream called "Décharge des Huit" joins. This spot is close to a road known as Chemin du Rang Prescott.

From its start, the Lemoine River flows for about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles). It mostly goes through farmland. The river drops about 9 meters (30 feet) from its source to its end.

Here's how the river flows:

  • For the first 2.3 kilometers (1.4 miles), it flows northwest. It then meets the Saint-Robert stream.
  • Next, it flows west for 3.0 kilometers (1.9 miles), reaching the bridge on Chemin du Rang Prescott.
  • Finally, it flows 3.7 kilometers (2.3 miles). It starts by going southwest, then curves south, and finishes by flowing northwest to its mouth.

The Lemoine River ends when it joins the Benoit stream. This meeting point is also the beginning of the Pot au Beurre River. From there, the water flows down the Pot au Beurre River for 25.6 kilometers (15.9 miles) until it reaches the Yamaska River.
