Sven Lennart Green (born on December 25, 1941) is a famous magician from Sweden. He is known for his amazing card tricks. In 1991, he won a big award, becoming a world champion in close-up magic. This happened at the FISM convention in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Lennart Green's magic looks a bit messy at first, but it's actually super skillful! He has created many new ways to do magic, especially with sleight of hand, which means doing tricks with quick, clever hand movements.
The Magic Journey of Lennart Green
Lennart Green started learning magic when he was 18 years old. He first competed at the FISM convention in 1988. This event took place in The Hague, Netherlands.
A Fair Win
During the 1988 competition, the judges thought he was using secret helpers to shuffle the cards. Because of this, he was wrongly disqualified. But Lennart Green didn't give up!
In 1991, he performed the exact same magic act. This time, he asked the judges to shuffle the cards themselves. This proved he wasn't using any helpers. The judges were very impressed and gave him first place!
Public Appearances
Lennart Green has appeared on a TV show called The World's Greatest Magic. He also gave a special performance at the TED conference in 2005. At TED, he showed off his amazing card routine.
He lives in Gothenburg, Sweden, and travels around the world to teach other magicians. For seven years, Lennart Green also worked as a doctor in Sweden.
In 2014, he had a health issue that stopped him from performing for a few months. But he has since made a full recovery and is back to his magic.
In 2022, a card artist named Noel Heath worked with Lennart Green. They released a special deck of cards together.
