The Life of Lenora Mattingly Weber
Lenora Mattingly was born in Dawn, Missouri on October 1, 1895. She spent most of her life in Denver, Colorado. In 1916, she married Albert Herman Weber. They had six children together. Albert Weber passed away in 1945.
Lenora Weber loved to write throughout her life. Her first book, Wind on the Prairie, was published in 1929. From 1930 to 1962, she wrote short stories for popular magazines. These included The Saturday Evening Post, McCall's, and Good Housekeeping. She also wrote a monthly column for a magazine called Catholic Extension. This column helped her earn money, especially after her husband died. Her last book was published after she passed away in 1972.
