Leonard A. Mastroni (born May 28, 1949 – died September 30, 2020) was an American politician. He was a member of the Republican Party. From 2017 to 2020, he represented the 117th district in the Kansas House of Representatives. This is where laws are made for the state of Kansas.
Early Life and Education
Leonard Mastroni was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He went to Fort Hays State University. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Political science is the study of how governments work. He also studied law at the National Judicial College. This college is part of the University of Nevada, Reno.
A Career in Public Service
Mr. Mastroni spent many years helping his community. He started his career as a police officer in Denver. Police officers work to keep people safe.
Later, he became a judge. In 1981, he was elected as a district court judge. This means he made decisions in legal cases. He served as a judge for 28 years.
Before joining the state legislature, he also served as a county commissioner. He worked for six years in Rush County, Kansas. County commissioners help manage local government.
Finally, he was elected to the Kansas Legislature. This is where he helped create laws for the state.

Leonard Mastroni lived in La Crosse, Kansas. He lived there with his wife, Linda, and their four children. He passed away on September 30, 2020, in La Crosse, Kansas. He was 71 years old.
