About Lera Kudryavtseva
Lera was born in Ust-Kamenogorsk in 1971. Her family was Russian. When she was young, she dreamed of becoming a doctor. However, she decided to study at a local cultural institute instead.
Early Career Steps
While her sister moved to Moscow, Lera stayed in her hometown. She started working at the local House of Culture. There, she helped organize concerts. One of these concerts featured the popular boy band Laskovyi Mai.
In 1990, Lera married Sergei Lenyuk, who was the drummer for Laskovyi Mai. After that, she began working as a backing vocalist and dancer. She performed with several bands and artists, including Evgeny Osin.
Becoming a TV Star
Lera later moved to Moscow. She continued her studies at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts. In 1995, she tried out for a TV show. She passed the screen test and became a co-presenter. The show was called Partiynaya zona on the TV station TV-6. She hosted it alongside Igor Vernik.
Big Breakthrough in Television
Lera's career really took off in 2002. She became a presenter for the very first New Wave music competition. She hosted it with Maksim Galkin. This show became one of the most-watched TV programs in Russia that year. Lera has hosted the New Wave competition every year since then.
She also became a well-known presenter on the Russian TV channel NTV. She hosted shows like Zvyozdy soslish'. In 2016, she started presenting a show called Secret for a million. On this show, famous people answer difficult questions about their lives. They do this to earn money for charity. Lera has said that her dream guest for this show would be Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Lera's Family Life
Lera has been married three times. From 2004 to 2007, she was married to Matvei Morozov. She also had a relationship with musician Sergey Lazarev from 2008 to 2012.
Since June 2013, Lera has been married to Igor Makarov. He is a professional ice hockey player. They had a daughter together in 2018.
