Lesley-Ann Brandt (born December 2, 1981) is a South African and American actress. She is famous for playing the demon Mazikeen in the TV series Lucifer from 2016 to 2021.

Early Life and Move to New Zealand
Brandt was born in Cape Town, South Africa. Her family background is diverse, with ancestors from many places, including India, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal. She speaks Afrikaans fluently. As a young girl, she enjoyed playing competitive hockey.
In 1999, when she was a teenager, Brandt moved to Auckland, New Zealand, with her parents and younger brother. At first, she worked in retail and later as a consultant for an IT company. She also did some modeling, which led to her appearing in several TV commercials in New Zealand. In 2008, she began to formally study acting.
Acting Career

Brandt's first major role was in the New Zealand TV show Diplomatic Immunity. She also had small parts in other New Zealand shows like the hospital drama Shortland Street.
Breakthrough Roles
A big step in her career came when she was cast as the character Naevia in the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. She also appeared in the prequel series, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. A prequel is a story that takes place before the events of the original series. She did not return for later seasons and another actress took over the role.
After Spartacus, Brandt moved to Los Angeles to continue her acting career. She appeared in several TV shows, including CSI: NY and Legend of the Seeker. In 2011, she starred in the TV movie Zombie Apocalypse.
Success with Lucifer and Other Shows
In 2014, Brandt played the villain Larissa Diaz / Copperhead in the show Gotham. She also had a recurring role as Lamia in the fantasy series The Librarians.
In 2015, she landed her most famous role as Mazikeen, or "Maze," in the FOX and Netflix series Lucifer. She played the character for all six seasons of the show.
More recently, she played Pearl Thorne in the 2024 series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
Personal Life
In 2015, Brandt married actor Chris Payne Gilbert. They have one son, who was born in 2017. In 2023, Brandt announced that she had officially become a citizen of the United States.
