Lesley-Ann Brandt (born December 2, 1981) is an actress from South Africa and the United States. She is most famous for playing the character Mazikeen in the TV show Lucifer.

Early Life and Moving to New Zealand
Lesley-Ann Brandt was born in Cape Town, South Africa. Her family has roots from different places, including India, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain. She speaks Afrikaans fluently. When she was younger, she enjoyed yoga, hockey, and baseball. She even played field hockey competitively in South Africa.
In 1999, Lesley-Ann moved to Auckland, New Zealand, with her parents and younger brother. Before becoming an actress, she worked in retail sales. Later, she became a consultant for information technology jobs. She also did some modeling and appeared in several TV commercials in New Zealand. In 2008, she began studying acting and learned the Meisner technique.
Her Acting Career
Lesley-Ann Brandt's first big acting role was in the New Zealand TV series Diplomatic Immunity. She also had guest roles in other New Zealand shows like the hospital soap opera Shortland Street and the science fiction series This Is Not My Life.
Becoming a Star in Spartacus and Lucifer
Brandt gained a lot of attention for her role as Naevia in the first season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. She also appeared in the prequel series Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. She had originally tried out for a different role, but ended up playing Naevia.
Later, in 2015, she got the role of Maze in the FOX TV series Lucifer. This role made her very well-known around the world. She played Maze, a demon who is loyal to Lucifer, for all six seasons of the show.
Other Notable Roles
Lesley-Ann has appeared in many other TV shows and movies. She guest starred in CSI: NY and Legend of the Seeker. She also had a lead role in the Syfy film Zombie Apocalypse. She appeared in the movie Drift and had a recurring role in the TV series Single Ladies. In 2014, she played Larissa Diaz/Copperhead in Gotham and Lamia in The Librarians. More recently, she has been in Captain Fall and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.

Personal Life
Lesley-Ann Brandt married actor Chris Payne Gilbert in 2015. They had been together for six years before getting married. Their son, Kingston Payne Brandt-Gilbert, was born in July 2017. In July 2023, Lesley-Ann became a citizen of the United States.
