Let's All Sing With the Chipmunks is the very first album released by Alvin and the Chipmunks. It's a fun, interactive album made especially for kids, featuring songs you can sing along to!
The album includes a mix of popular children's songs that everyone knows (these are called "public domain" songs, meaning anyone can use them) and brand-new songs created just for the Chipmunks. It also features the first three hit songs from the Chipmunks: "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)", "Alvin's Harmonica", and "Ragtime Cowboy Joe".
When the album first came out, the artist was listed as Ross Bagdasarian, who created the Chipmunks. Later, on a 1961 version of the album, the artist was changed to "Alvin, Simon and Theodore with David Seville." The very first copies of the album were even pressed on cool red vinyl!
Even though this album was a big hit, it wasn't released on CD for a long time. Finally, on April 8, 2008, Let's All Sing with the Chipmunks was re-released on CD, so new generations could enjoy it!

Album's Big Success
This album was super popular when it first came out! It reached number 4 on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart. This was the highest any Chipmunks album ever reached on that chart!
In 1960, Let's All Sing with the Chipmunks even won a Grammy Award for Best Recording for Children. That's a huge honor in the music world!
Different Album Covers
The album has had a few different looks over the years.
Original Cover (1959)
The first version of the album cover showed three chipmunks that looked quite realistic. Alvin was striking a pose similar to the famous singer Al Jolson.
Reissued Cover (1961)
Two years later, when the album was re-released, it got a new cover. This one featured animated versions of the Chipmunks, like those from The Alvin Show. They were still doing similar poses, but this time, Alvin was posing like the rock and roll legend Elvis Presley.
CD Reissue Cover (2008)
The 2008 CD version of the album used the animated 1961 cover for the front. However, it used the original 1959 design for the back cover.

All the songs from this album were later turned into animated musical parts for The Alvin Show on TV!
