Leysin is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Aigle district. It is part of the Vaud canton in Switzerland.

Exploring Leysin's Location
Leysin is a beautiful alpine village found in the Vaud Alps. It is a popular resort area. You can find it at the eastern end of Lake Geneva. It is also close to bigger cities like Montreux, Lausanne, and Geneva.
Mountains and Rivers
The village sits on the right side of the Grande Eau river. It is nestled at the base of two impressive mountains: the Tour d'Aï and the Tour de Mayen. The main part of Leysin is about 1,260 meters (4,134 feet) above sea level.

Leysin includes the main village itself. It also has smaller areas called hamlets. These hamlets are Veyges, Feydey, Aï, and Mayen.
Getting to Leysin
You can reach Leysin by driving on a road. There is also a train that runs every hour. This train connects Leysin to Aigle and makes four stops in the area.
