About Liberty's Family

Liberty's mother, Arlyn Sharon, was born in New York. Her parents came from Russia and Hungary. Her father, John Lee Bottom, was from California. He had English, German, and French family roots.

Liberty's Acting Career

Liberty Phoenix acted in TV shows between 1982 and 1986. She appeared in two TV productions. These were a TV movie called Kate's Secret. She also acted in an episode of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. The episode was titled "Christmas Song". After these roles, she stopped acting.

Music and Other Work

Liberty started a punk band with her sisters Rain and Summer. The band was called The Causey Way. This band is no longer together. However, Liberty sometimes sang backup for Rain's band, the Papercranes.

Later, she taught at the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery.

In 2005, Liberty designed a collection of dresses and skirts. She sold them to a store in Manhattan called Some Odd Rubies. In March 2007, she opened her own store. It was called Indigo Green Store and was in Gainesville, Florida. Her store focused on eco-friendly products.

Liberty's Personal Life

Liberty Phoenix is married to Andy Lord. She works for an organization called the River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding. Her mother founded this organization. Liberty and Andy have five children.
