Libuse is a small community in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, United States. It's not an official city or town, but a place where people live together. Libuse is part of the larger Alexandria metropolitan area, Louisiana.

The community was started in 1914 by people who moved there from the Czech Republic. They named the place after Libuše, a famous princess from Czech legends. There are plans to build a Louisiana Czech Museum in Libuse in the future. The main office for the Talimali Band of Apalachee (a Native American group) is also located here.

Libuse was once home to Carl Gunter, Jr., who served as a State Representative. This means he was a person elected to help make laws for the state of Louisiana.
