Lidia Parada has represented her country, Spain, in many important international competitions. She started competing at a young age, showing her talent in the javelin throw.
Early Competitions and Growth
Lidia first competed on the world stage at the World Youth Championships in Brixen, Italy, in 2009. She threw the javelin 37.57 meters there. A few years later, in 2012, she participated in the World Junior Championships held in Barcelona, Spain. She improved her throw to 50.33 meters at this event.
European and Ibero-American Challenges
As she grew older, Lidia continued to compete at higher levels. In 2013, she took part in the European U23 Championships in Tampere, Finland. She finished 11th with a throw of 48.30 meters. The year 2014 was busy for Lidia. She competed in the Mediterranean U23 Championships in France and the Ibero-American Championships in Brazil. She placed 5th in both events, showing consistent performance.
In 2015, Lidia was back at the European U23 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. She achieved a strong 6th place with a throw of 54.09 meters.
Major European Championships
Lidia has also competed in the main European Athletics Championships. In 2016, she was in Amsterdam, Netherlands, for the European Championships. She threw 57.34 meters. Two years later, in 2018, she competed again at the European Championships in Berlin, Germany, where she threw 58.08 meters.
Recent Competitions
In 2018, after the European Championships, Lidia also competed in the Ibero-American Championships in Trujillo, Peru, where she finished 5th. More recently, in 2019, she participated in the European Games in Minsk, Belarus, throwing 52.17 meters.
