Life-Size is a fun fantasy-comedy TV movie from 2000. It stars Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks. The movie first aired on March 5, 2000, on ABC. It was part of The Wonderful World of Disney. The story is about a young girl whose doll, Eve, magically turns into a real person.

A sequel called Life-Size 2: A Christmas Eve came out on December 2, 2018. In the sequel, Tyra Banks plays Eve again.

Story of the Film

Casey Stuart is a sporty girl who plays quarterback on her school's football team. Her mom passed away two years ago. Casey misses her mom a lot and wants to bring her back. She finds a special book called "The Book of Awakenings" at a bookstore. This book has instructions on how to bring people back to life. The magic would become permanent if not undone within four days.

Casey starts gathering things that belonged to her mom, like strands of hair from her hairbrush. But then, something unexpected happens. Drew Mitchell, a friend of Casey's dad, gives Casey a new doll for her birthday. It's an Eve doll, a popular plastic doll made by Marathon Toys.

Eve Comes to Life

As Casey is getting ready to use the magic, Drew brushes the Eve doll's hair with Casey's mom's hairbrush. Because of this, the magic accidentally works on the doll instead of Casey's mom. The next morning, Casey wakes up to find Eve, the doll, is now a real person!

Casey is surprised and a little upset. But Eve is super excited to be a real human. Over the next few days, Eve experiences many new things. She goes shopping for clothes, tries different foods, and even sings her theme song at a dance. She also helps Casey deal with missing her mom.

Friendship and Magic

Casey learns that she needs the second part of the magic book to turn Eve back into a doll. Meanwhile, Casey's dad, Ben, is busy with his job and misses some of Casey's football games. This causes some tension between them.

As time goes on, Casey and Eve become good friends. Eve is kind and helps Casey feel better about her mom. Casey also teaches Eve how to be a popular doll and a good role model.

When the magic book finally arrives at the bookstore, Casey decides not to buy it. She has grown to like Eve and wants her to stay real.

Saying Goodbye

However, Eve starts to miss being a doll. She finds it hard to be a real person and worries about her doll company. So, Eve decides to undo the spell herself. She buys the book and says goodbye to Ben at Casey's championship game.

Eve goes to a special room at the Marathon headquarters. She says the magic words. When Casey and Ben arrive, Eve sadly says goodbye and turns back into a doll. Later, Eve becomes a very popular toy again, thanks to her experiences as a real person. Casey also makes up with her old friends, and Ben gets a promotion at work.

The movie ends with everyone dancing to Eve's theme song. It looks like Eve is still real and dancing along!
