Lilian Parker was born in Bolton, England, in 1874. Her father was a minister, so her family moved often. They lived in places like Bromsgrove and Lowestoft. Lilian mostly grew up and went to school in Clapham Park in London.

She studied art at the famous Royal College of Art in London. Lilian was a very good student. She won many medals and even two special Queen's Prizes. These were given in national art school competitions.

Her Art and Exhibitions

Throughout her life, Lilian Parker created many different artworks. She made detailed portrait busts, which are sculptures of people's heads and shoulders. She also sculpted full figures. Besides sculpture, Lilian was a skilled painter, especially with watercolors.

Her art was shown in many important places. She exhibited her works at the Royal Academy in London. This happened between 1902 and 1927. She also showed her art at the Paris Salon and with the Société des Artistes Français in France.

In Britain, her paintings were displayed by the Royal Watercolour Society. Her drawings were shown by the Royal Drawing Society. You could also see her art at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.

Achievements and Later Life

Lilian Parker earned recognition for her artistic talent. In 1902, she became an associate member of the Royal Drawing Society. Later, in 1919, she was made an associate of the Royal Watercolour Society.

She lived and worked in London for many years. In 1908, she married Frank Parker, who was a school teacher. Lilian Parker passed away in 1947. She died in Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset, England.
