Lillian's Early Driving Days
Lillian Cox started driving a car when she was very young. In 1915, when she was only 8 years old, she got behind the wheel of a 1916 Model T. This was a very old type of car. She later said, "I drove when I wasn't supposed to be driving. We were 8 or 9 years old." This shows she was quite adventurous even as a child!
Becoming America's Oldest Driver
In 2008, when Lillian was 101, she was officially recognized. She held the title of the oldest licensed driver in the entire United States. This was a huge achievement and showed how active she remained throughout her life.

After her 103rd birthday, Lillian Cox moved to Meadows Place, Texas. She lived there in a special home that helps older people.
