Lillian Wade was born in Battersea, a part of London. She studied art at the National Art Training School in South Kensington. This was between 1895 and 1897. There, she learned from a famous teacher named Édouard Lantéri. Later, Lillian even worked as an assistant for Lanteri in his studio.

From 1900 to 1916, Lillian showed her artwork at the Royal Academy in London. She created many different types of sculptures. These included small statues called statuettes. She also made reliefs, which are sculptures carved into a flat surface. And she sculpted portrait busts, which are sculptures of a person's head and shoulders.

One of her notable works was a bronze statuette from 1907. It showed a winged figure representing "Victory." Lillian later changed this design to create a winged "Peace" figure. This larger sculpture became part of a special monument. It was made for the Moir family's grave at Brookwood Cemetery in Woking. This monument is very important. It is officially recognized by Historic England as a Grade II listed building.

Lillian Wade's daughter, Evelyn, also had a connection to art. In 1925, Evelyn married a sculptor named Charles Sargeant Jagger. One of their daughters, Gillian Jagger, also grew up to become a well-known sculptor.
