Lincoln Restaurant, often called just Lincoln, was a popular place to eat in Portland, Oregon. It was known for its delicious food, which included dishes inspired by the Pacific Northwest and classic Italian pastas. They also offered small plates that changed with the seasons.
The Story of Lincoln Restaurant
Opening Its Doors
Lincoln Restaurant first opened in 2008. It was started by Jenn Louis and her co-owner, David Welch. They worked hard to create a welcoming spot for people to enjoy unique meals.
Special Food Events
In 2013, Lincoln Restaurant started holding special events. They hosted "gnocchi tastings" to celebrate a cookbook about gnocchi written by Jenn Louis. Gnocchi are small, soft dumplings often made from potato or flour. During these tastings, people could try different kinds of gnocchi. At that time, Cory Chunn was the sous chef, which is like the second-in-command chef in the kitchen.
Closing Down
After serving the Portland community for several years, Lincoln Restaurant closed its doors in March 2017.
