Linda's Early Life and Writing
Linda Aksomitis was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. When she was a teenager, she loved writing poetry. She even used a special pen name, Sunflower Sue. Some of her poems were published in The Western Producer magazine.
Linda currently lives in Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan.
Becoming a Published Author
Linda Aksomitis has published more than 30 books. These include both true stories (nonfiction) and made-up stories (fiction). Her books have been published in five different countries.
She is now focusing on publishing her own books. One of her popular series is called "Magic Forest Adventures." This series retells classic fairy tales and folktales in new and exciting ways.
