Linda Ann Pondexter Chesterfield was born on September 13, 1947, in Hope, Arkansas. She is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party. She has served in the Arkansas Senate for District 12 since January 14, 2013. Before this, she also served in the Arkansas Senate for District 34 and in the Arkansas House of Representatives for District 36. She has dedicated many years to public service in Arkansas.
Chesterfield is planning to step down from her position at the 2024 Arkansas Senate election.

Early Life and Education
Linda Ann Pondexter Chesterfield grew up in Arkansas. She attended Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. She graduated from the college in 1965. She made history as the first African-American person to graduate from Hendrix College.
