Discovering Dinosaurs!

Did you know that Lindi Region is famous for dinosaurs? Long ago, in the early 1900s, scientists found many dinosaur fossils here. One of the most important places for these discoveries was a site called Tendaguru. This site is in the northern part of the region.

At Tendaguru, scientists found the bones of some of the largest dinosaurs that ever lived! One of the most famous dinosaurs found there is the Giraffatitan. This giant plant-eating dinosaur was once known as Brachiosaurus brancai. It was incredibly tall, like a giraffe with a very long neck. Its skeleton is now a star attraction in a museum in Berlin, Germany. These discoveries helped us learn a lot about what the Earth was like millions of years ago.

Life in Lindi Region
