She is also known for her artwork. Lindsey has worked with other artists like Frances Bean Cobain and Jessicka Addams. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Gerard Way, and their daughter, Bandit Lee Way.
Early Life and Art
Lindsey was born on May 21, 1976. From a young age, Lindsey Way loved art. She spent a lot of time creating art as a child. She once said it was "pretty much the only thing I was good at."
Later, Lindsey went to Pratt University. She studied Fine Arts and Illustration there. After college, she worked in New York City. She created window displays for stores. Lindsey has one sister named Amy Greene.
Music Career
Lindsey joined the band Mindless Self Indulgence in 2001. Before joining, she had not played the bass guitar. She also didn't know what tablature was. Tablature is a way to write down music. It shows you where to put your fingers on the instrument.
When she auditioned, Lindsey felt she wasn't skilled enough. She thought she wouldn't get in based on her bass playing alone. During her audition, she performed a memorable stunt. She used matches and created a fire effect. This exciting performance helped her get into the band. Lindsey is still the bassist for the band. Mindless Self Indulgence has been on a break since 2014.
Family Life
Lindsey Way married her husband, Gerard Way, on September 3, 2007. Their wedding happened at the end of their Projekt Revolution tour. Lindsey and Gerard welcomed their daughter, Bandit Lee Way, on May 27, 2009.
