Linton is a small place in Trigg County, Kentucky, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community," which means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county. Linton was once known by another name, Shipsport.
Where is Linton?
Linton is located in the southwestern part of Trigg County. You can find it along Kentucky Route 164. It sits on the eastern shore of Lake Barkley, which is part of the Cumberland River. The community is also quite close to the Tennessee state line, about a mile north of it.
