Lionello Manfredonia (born on 27 November 1956 in Rome) is a former Italian footballer. He played as a defender or a midfielder. Today, he leads the youth football program at Brescia.

Playing for Football Clubs

Lionello Manfredonia played for several big Italian football clubs. He started his professional career with Lazio. He played there from 1975 to 1985.

After Lazio, he joined Juventus in 1985. He played for Juventus until 1987. His last club was Roma, where he played from 1987 to 1989.

A Difficult Time

During his time at Lazio, Lionello faced a challenging period. He was suspended from playing for three years due to a controversy. His team, Lazio, also moved down to a lower league.

Sudden Retirement
